Expensive and crowded with long commutes - 2/21/2007
We live in the far NW suburbs of Chicago. I moved to the Chicago area 10 years ago. I find that it is very crowded and congested, with long commutes, and that housing is quite expensive here and it is difficult to own a nice home and to make ends meet. The forest preserves are nice, and the park districts in various communities seem to be well organized and have a lot to offer, and there is a lot to go and do for fun here...but I am not convinced that the high stress of living here is worth it.
