There is no active police force for the town - totally dependent on county sheriff or State Patrol of law enforcement/protection, response times unknown. Fire Dept and EMS are volunteer so response times are slow. Not sure where you are getting your information, but the condition of a lot of the homes in this town (village) are poor at best. 'City' is more worried about people clearing snow off their sidewalks than the 'city' clearing alleyways, etc., so people can get to work. No decent restaurants. No conveniences, medical care, etc. A lot of people have been moving out, especially older folks who are not feeling very
