nice place to raise a family - 4/11/2007
I have lived in Indianola over 10 years. The community is growing, friendly and homes/yards are mostly well-kept. We feel generally safe here. Schools are a priority and most teachers genuinely care about kids. Indianola does have limited entertainment & shopping, but it's an easy drive to Des Moines for increased options. Unfortunately, you also need to drive to Des Moines to access a hospital/ER. The main thing I have not enjoyed about Iowa is the weather: high humidity and frequent cloudy days.
