Small town friendly and convenient - 3/13/2019
We found a nice older home at a reasonable price. The very best of small town neighbors lives nearby. The gas station/convenience store is a oasis for quick items that do not justify a 30 -40 minute round trip to Mt Pleasant and famous locally for their ice cream. The Underground restaurant with a bar in back has great food eat in or carry out. For history enthusiasts the Lewelling house is an interesting link to the past of the town as a stop on the Underground Railroad (note the link with the restaurant) the library is well equipped though suffers from too few computer stations when school is not in session. The two churches in town are community oriented and welcoming. Read More
