Stay away a constitutional no-go zone & cigarettes - 9/19/2019
The Good: Cheap Housing, good dentist, some good elementary school teachers, a great middle school band instructor (Mr Patterson), the Hintons, no traffic, awesome Mexican restaurant.

The bad:
We moved here from another state 10 years ago and I have lived and traveled all over the US. We envisioned a great small town to raise a family with open minded and friendly people but it is the complete opposite. This area of the country is extremely boring to live in, contaminated rivers and lakes all over the state, and the people will give you extreme culture shock. The only thing they are concerned with is a failing basketball team and Christianity. The government appears to be controlling the media (newspaper) so you never get the real story about things happening in the town, only what they want you to know about. There are no investigative journalists to keep this government accountable. See Hodgenville Police Department website for their reviews.
