I went to college at McNeese, which is known for its good football teams. Ironically, the best athlete to come through there is Joe Dumars, a basketball player. Average sized town of 75,000 people located in Southwest Louisiana close to the Texas border. An extremely proud community which shows it in their culture and cuisine. Beautiful homes along our waterways and in town/parish. Affordable housing and taxes--can still get a big house for a medium price. Proerty taxes are not high compared to other locales in US. Home to McNeese State University -- Contraband Days fesival coming up first weekend in May--one example of our many festivals we have each year.

Friendly people, proud people-- a place I have called home since childhood. Ya'll come see Read More
