Cape Elizabeth, ME is a picturesque seaside town known for its stunning sandy beaches and beautiful rocky shoreline. It is also home to some of the best hiking in the area, with trails leading through lush green forests and along the coast. With lots of outdoor recreation, culture, and history to explore, it’s no wonder Cape Elizabeth is a popular travel destination. People come from all over to experience the unique culture of this coastal town.
Reviews of Cape Elizabeth are overwhelmingly positive. Locals and visitors alike appreciate how clean and safe the area is, as well as the abundance of activities available both outdoors and indoors. Many people take advantage of the many trails for hiking or biking; others enjoy the beach or kayaking in Casco Bay. They also appreciate how friendly locals are and the variety of restaurants available in town. All in all, Cape Elizabeth has something for everyone!

Town of Many Resources and Beautiful Landscapes - 3/5/2012
Cape Elizabeth is a lovely town, right on the Maine shoreline, and just outside the city of Portland. If you love nature and the outdoors, you will love Cape Elizabeth. There are two universities in Portland. The airport is in South Portland and very easy to access. The schools in Cape Elizabeth are excellent, so if you have kids to educate, this is a wonderful place to bring them up. Property taxes are high. There are farms all around the area, so you can get fresh produce during the growing season. There are also horse farms and places to ride and take riding lessons. The town has a very good recreation center and a Olympic size pool available to residents. The one negative is the winter weather, which can be very harsh and last a long time. Moved to CE in 2007 and find it to be very beautiful seacoast town that includes farms, Maine coast views, great seafood and local produce, and a homey feel. The local supermarket is a great place to shop. There are three movie theaters in neighboring Portland, South Portland and Falmouth. Cape Elizabeth is the "wealthiest" town in Maine, but not everyone who lives in the town is wealthy. Public schools in Cape are excellent, and therefore the property taxes are rather high. The City of Portland is 5 minutes away, and is a small and lively town featuring a great harbor, lots of fish markets and boutique-y shops and a wide mix of "types". In addition there are two universities right in the metro area. In all, it's a great place to raise a family but not so great if you are retiring on your own or looking for employment opportunities.
