Easton and cost of living - 7/22/2015
I think these figures are WAY off. Utilities? You must be kidding. We have the cheapest utilities around since Easton owns its own utility company, one of only five towns in the nation. My electric bill on a 1500 sq ft house is $50 a month. On the mainland of Maryland, theirs are in the multiple hundreds. It is so much more affordable in Easton than other counties. Cultural Oasis - 3/29/2010
Easton is blessed with a wide range of cultural events and resources and can hold it's own with the best of them. Because of the relatively high level of affluence in the town and surrounding area, the arts are supported at a very high level. Highlights include the Chamber Music Festival, the Academy of Art, and the Tidewater Chamber Singers. Numerous appropriate venues exist in the area including churches and private waterfront mansions for all the performances offered. The number and level of cultural offerings far outweighs what one might expect in such a relatively small area.  Read More

Maryland's Eastern Shore - 7/16/2006
The quality of life in the Easton, mid shore area, is excellent. Health care, climate, culture, access to goods and services are all top notch. The Chesapeake Bay is a wonder to enjoy for fishing, sailing, swimming and observing. Like most good things however, it has attracted too many people, which brings some of the things mentioned in the first sentence, but takes away from those mentioned in the Read More
