A+ for families. B- for others. - 9/28/2020
I've lived in Natick since the summer of 2006. Here is my honest review.

Pros:
1. We landed here for its proximity to Boston via the Commuter Rail, and right now the Natick station is being renovated to be more accessible and safer. I can get to Boston via the rail in about 25 minutes on weekday mornings. On the weekends, I can drive into downtown Boston in under 20 minutes.
2. The public schools are outstanding. Our two sons matriculated through elementary, middle, and high school here and found themselves WAY ahead of their college classmates. The opportunities at the high school level are incredible, from trips to China, to robotics classes, to computer engineering certifications.
3. There is a well-funded, popular youth sports program (soccer, lacrosse, baseball, softball, basketball, etc.), and the high school teams are state-level competitive, especially varsity wrestling and football.
4. There is lots of tax revenue generated from Rt. 9 Read More

The Town - 2/25/2010
Natick is a suburb of Boston, approximately 22 miles west. The public schools here are known for their high quality. The town itself is very family-oriented. I love going out in Natick because I often run into people I knew from PTO when my kids were young, or people I've known through the years from town events and activities.
We have an Audubon wildlife sanctuary, a State Park very close by, are an hour from the ocean, an hour from New Hampshire and skiing, and a half hour from the city. There are many colleges and universities in the area, which makes for a very rich cultural area. Shopping is very easy as there are all of the huge chains in town. Restaurants are plentiful. Traffic is a bit of a hassle, and driving on the highways in Massachusetts can be harrowing at times! The four seasons are glorious; each one beautiful in its own way.
