Pembroke Massachusetts Riverfront community - 8/7/2008
Pembroke Massachusetts, situated half way between Boston and the Cape Cod Canal in Plymouth, offers a wonderful quality of life and numerous styles and price points for housing. Pembroke for years was thought of as a recreational community, with the large number of fully recreational ponds, reservoirs and North River Riverfront summer retreats which were well visited. Many of the State, Boston and local politicians retreated to Pembroke to hold their meetings in the privacy of this wonderful community. Theaters and Inns were very common to the area. As the community grew, once summer homes grew too, the pondfront cottage was torn down and a beautiful waterfront year round lifestyle home was constructed, the vast amounts of woods and meadows gave birth to the subdivisions of middle and upper class housing.
