Burton, MI is a city located in Genesee County, with a population of approximately 30,000 people. This small city is home to many attractions, and is known for its waterpark, golf course, and historic sites. Visitors to Burton can enjoy shopping at the local mall or take a canal boat ride through the historic Stratford Canal. It’s also a great spot for camping and exploring nearby trails.

Beautiful here in Burton - 10/18/2009
I moved here 3 years ago, but have worked in this area (Genessee) for the last 15 years. (I never minded the drive but I don't miss it). Burton has the most friendly people! (and the best-est mean cops...they keep the crime on from the Burton line). The people here are wonderful, and the city has a small town feel although we dwarf the surrounding counties. It's so nice...you have all the charm of a small town, plus all the cool things of a big city..from multiple malls and every convenience under the sun just a minute away.
Plus we have incredible parks, (For Mar Nature Reserve and more) orchards, and a few country lanes still in existence. In my area of Burton the lot sizes are about one acre and most homes have at least one fruit tree (I got lucky and have three) and I'm less then five minutes from the main highways.

Besides the huge bonus of being minutes from all the major highways, Flint and Detroit have huge cultural centers. And by the Gods do Read More
