Ok place to grow up, but not so good to stay - 6/20/2012
If you have a job in Iron Mountain, okay place to live! And I mean a secure job. Like a in contract job. However, don't move here thinking you will get a job once you do. It is VERY difficult to get a above minimum wage, full time job here. There also isn't very much to do. It is an elderly population. There aren't too many trails. There is skiing. People are generally friendly, well those aren't too depressed about living on $200 a week. Also, I feel as though there is a lot of drugs here. Especially drugs that will make you mental, such as "Spice" and "Bath salts." If you don't know what these are, move to Iron Mountain and you soon will.
