The Beach in Ludington is Awesome! - 9/2/2007
The beach is the place to be!!!! It is one of the absolute most beautiful beaches in Michigan! The sand dunes on the way to the state park are fabulous and semi-private.
The state park is also one of the best for hiking, swimming and camping that I have seen.

If you like mild summers and snowy winters this is the place to be!!!
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, almost like a switch, the weather is beautiful!! You have your occasional hot and humid days (about 5 a summer or more) and the rest of the time is very bearable! Great weather for the awesome beach here!

The autumn is cool and gorgeous! You will LOVE the fall colors!

Winter is cold with LOTS of snow! If you love the snow this place is for you! The best thing is sitting at the beach watching the snow fall as the ice floats on the water and the waves hit the breakwall and lighthouse.
