I grew up here. Almost no crime, surrounded by state and metropolitan parks, decent schools, beautiful downtown that is vibrant considering the population, within driving distance of amenities, and with large swathes of 3-acre zoning on the outskirts. Most plots are 1/4 acre in the town. The only drawback is that it is largely a commuter town to Detroit, which is quite the drive (45 minutes at least). Definitely one of the best places out
