Monticello, Great place to live
- 5/30/2011
Wonderful community where I have lived for 6 years. Friendly neighbors who all help each other. Offerings of shopping amenities such as Super Target, Super Walmart and Albertville Outlet Mall (Albertville is 5 miles E on I94). Huge growth in past 3 years since town is located off I94. Easy 35 mile commute to Minneapolis for work. Just 25 miles from Saint Cloud, another metropolitan college city with many offerings of excellent shopping malls and restaurants. Median home values around $140k. Great schools and Community Center with pool, fitness center. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Monticello is just 40 minutes from St. Cloud, and 45 minutes from Minneapolis. Its not a bad drive if you work in the early morning, evening, or nights to get into Minneapolis. Housing prices are still lower, but will be on the rise with big name stores moving in. A great investment in the

I am living for the day when I can leave this state. I love the seasons but the winter is awful and way too long. All my vacation time is used during the winter going somewhere warm to break up the winter
