Coleraine, MN is a small town located in Northern Minnesota. It has a population of about 476 people, and it is known for its beautiful lakes and woods, as well as its rural atmosphere. The small town is right on the edge of the Chippewa National Forest and has easy access to many outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, and camping. This small little town is pretty cool. It's a community that was a planned city during it's mining era and when the Ore Mines were operating at peak significant investment was put into this community that normally wouldn't be available for a small tax base. It's built around Trout Lake with a Central Park area that extends from the lake to it's music gazebo on it's other end. It's large for a city park and history suggests it had NYC Central Park in mind when they build it. The Elementary, Middle, and High School are older but historic. It has a beautiful public library that was built by Andrew Carnegie given US Steel was heavily vested into the region. It has a very nice public 18 hole golf course that is with views of the lake and overachieves greatly. It's history is built around the many europeans that migrated here making it's ethnic diversity unique.
