A quiet place to live - 3/4/2010
I have lived in Oak Park Heights all of my life. It is a very quiet place to live. If you like neighborhoods with little traffic and pedestrians then this might be the neighborhood for you. Oak Park Heights has recently became quite the "super shopping center." Many big box stores are along highway 36. OPH is located about half an hour from the Minneapolis-St. Paul area which is great if you like sporting events or concerts. OPH is mostly composed of older residents, there is a huge complex in the center of OPH known as Boutwell's Landing. It is also a great place for young families. The schools are superb and Stillwater Area High School is actually in Oak Park Heights. There is not much to do in the town, so most people either go to downtown Stillwater or find nearby activities in the Woodbury area. OPH has great trail systems that aren't frequently used, but they can only be used for half the year.
