A Little Town with Big Hearted People - 8/25/2009
Growing up in Lula was one of the most memorable times in my life. Although there wasn't much to do as a child, my friends and I found ways to make playing enjoyable. Looking back on my former years as a child, I remember when I was at Lula School and how I took pride in learning. And how teachers taught us the survival skills of life. Neighbors were kind and they always looked out for us. My grandmother made sure we visited the elderly and respected ourselves and others. As a result, I try to pass some of the morals to my children. I am proud to be a native of Lula. I no longer live there but my family does and I visit as often as possible.
