Really Disappointed! - 5/16/2017
I came here from Maine believing that like Maine, my service dog would be allowed anywhere I am. Come to find out that in Moss Point, MS hotels, service dogs are not allowed in outdoor pools. I can understand having such a rule with pets, but they can be left in the room when they're? people go to the pool. Being disabled I can't go to the pool and swim without my service dog. I was told that he could go into the fenced in area around the pool with me but not in the water. However, I'm not inhumane. I could never do what they want and let my service dog slowly cook on hot cement in the beating sun while I'm in the pool. It hurts that in today's world disabled people are still looked at as "not as important." Once again the ugly head of prejudice shows its true colors. I was also thinking that an outdoor pool can't be more clean then he is? I saw Best Westerns Flagship hotel with sand in the pool. He gets a bath every week and has very short hair. I really don't think I will ever come

WHAT??????????? - 1/3/2013
I purchased a house today in Moss Point Mississippi and at closing I found out that where the house is located in Moss Point I will have to pay both CITY and COUNTY taxes, the city taxes are more than the county taxes totalling more than $3700.00 a year (20%)tax. The whole time during the loan process i had asked about the property taxes, I even went to the Jackson County Court house to confirm the property taxes had been paid and was able to verify the amount of the taxes that were being paid in the past to get a rough idea of what I should expect to be paying. Then at closing after I already had a huge amount of money invested (point of no return) I was told that I pay 10% to the county and 11% to the city? WTH? I have called everyone that I can think of why we have to pay for both, or why I was not informed as to having to pay both taxes........to explain, it may not sound so serious, but it has a huge bearing on my mortgage payments that I will be stuck with for thirty
