It is a great place to visit for its warm atmosphere and interesting attractions. There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy such as fishing or kayaking on one of the many lakes in the area, or visiting one of the many parks throughout Quitman. If you're looking for some culture and history, you can take a tour of one of the historic homes in town or check out the nearby Civil War battlefields. Shopping is also a popular pastime with several unique stores downtown offering everything from antiques and vintage clothing to local artisanal crafts. No matter what you're looking for, Quitman has something to offer everyone.

this place is awful. i have lived here for 25 yrs, and let me tell you something. if you dont have money? you dont have a chance here. the police make their own rules here and they love topick on the poor. money gets you anything here esp. with the law here. if you are in an interacial relationship? tough luck here. housing? pathetic. jobs? NONE. entertainment? NONE. schools? A JOKE!!! law enforcement? PATHETIC. god save you if you come here cause its awful. i cant wait til i can leave! oh and if you have tattoos and piercings (cause i do) you will be in jail within a wek of arriving because you wont be accepted. =) ahhh good ole
