Growing up in a small town... - 10/4/2009
Hello. I would just like to say that growing up in Hale was a blessing in many ways. I no longer live in Hale but my grandmother and mother do and although there have been many changes since I graduated in 1990, new faces and old buildings being replaced, the feeling is still the same. People care about one another and it is a friendly place to live. Hale is a quiet town and there is not much going on but a great place to raise kids. Hale has an excellent school system and the homes are nice. Also, the location is great because you are central to three major towns of Chillicothe (where I live now), Carrollton, and Brookfield. Another benefit is you are only one and a half hours from Kansas City, not to mention all of the historic sites close by. I am glad to have lived in Hale because I grew up knowing everyone and seeing how friendly people are. I would recommend Hale as a great place to raise kids.
