Quality of Life in Nevada Missouri - 9/14/2009
After having lived in San Diego and St. Louis moving to Nevada has been quite enjoyable. My commute is short and the pace of life is perfect. Cost of living here is much better than in the city but we lack all the amenities of the big city. However, a short drive (less time than my commute in San Diego) will get you access to almost anything one would want or need. The move was great for my family with many things to do. If hunting and fishing is your thing, Nevada is a great place to live, especially if you like duck hunting. Recreation at the lake is just a short drive away. Nevada allows easy access to the amenities of the city with the low stress of living in a medium sized community. Crime in Nevada - 4/12/2006
There is Las Vegas and then, there is Northern Nevada (Reno-Sparks). I can't speak for Vegas because I hate it there, but living in Northern Nevada, I can say that crime is very low. Certain pockets have more because they house low income and criminals. These areas are well known, but the rest of the communities are very safe.
