Osborn is a very little and quiet town. I enjoy it very much. It's like living in the country with paved roads. The only entertainment locally is the weekly auto drag strip, known to locals as "the races". Most people know of Osborn because they've come to the races or known someone who had. On Fridays and Saturdays in the summertime, you will hear the races. Pony Express Lake is within 10 miles. The school is extremely small with around 90 students in K-12. Some students join a neighboring rural school's sports team to allow for larger teams. You can hear the grain bins at the farmer's coop and cows mooing in the summer time. It's 6 miles from a major interstate near Cameron, MO where you can get groceries and other items. It is 30 minutes away from St. Joseph, population around 80,000 and another interstate. There is a local university within 30 minutes. Osborn is 45 minutes from Kansas City.
