Lobo's Life - 3/10/2006
I stumbled into a small, inexpensive community called Rainbow Bend in Storey County, Nevada on the Truckee River just across from Sparks. The homes are small & modest, but we have a clubhouse with an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, Library, meeting rooms, 24 hour security patrol and front yard mowing. The bill is $75 per month. RV parking in fenced & patrolled yard for $10.00 a month. Water, Sewer, Trash removal, roads and TV service for another $95 per month. High Speed Internet with WIFI is another $25.
I did a reverse mortgage so there are no house payments except for $112 per month taxes and another $120 for fire & flood. We are about 5 freeway miles from major casinos with great chow at unbeatable prices + entertainment if your heart can stand it. It is less than an hour to Lake Tahoe and ski resorts. A ton of golf courses in the Reno-Sparks area. An hour to NAS Fallon. I like
