Are you kidding me? - 5/30/2016
NH in general and Bow specifically is the last place you want to live. The taxes are extremely high and you get nothing for them. Like all of NH every little town has a new safety complex and a library. There is no sharing of resources. The school system is mediocre at best and there is little arts in the school or anywhere. Sparse music scene at best. The state has the highest retirement $$ in the country, that's where all your property tax money goes. The state has a department whose only purpose is to keep young people here. And it can't make them stay. There is no diversity here, people more to Bow and NH to be stingy and it attracts the rich dregs. Read More

Great Place to Raise a Family - 9/1/2009
After spending 20 years in the USAF, I was very happy to relocate to Bow, NH. I evaluated all the places I could live in the world, and settled on Bow for numerous reasons.
- Great schools for my daughter. (Best in the state, and of primary concern to me.)
- I enjoy the changes in seasons, and am a NE guy anyway.
- Close access to the culture, shopping, and entertainment offered by Boston.
- The Manchester airport is close, and not at all congested with great service.
- The White Mountains and many other natural wonders are close as well.
- Nice country living with a nice plot of land in the woods, but still close to other folks so again my daughter has playmates.
- The city of Concord is nearby for day to day shopping and services.
- The level of income and education in Bow is relatively high. Bigotry and narrowmindedness are not things that are of any real concern (something that bothered me in several other small towns I Read More
