Quaint Town at Risk - 1/15/2024
Trails and a lovely park. Close to major employment centers NYC, Hoboken, Jersey City, Morristown but few employment opportunities in township. It is also attracting the wrong crowd. Some areas to avoid are between Stevens Ave to Montclair Ave neighboring Route 23. Severe drug activity pollution off peak hours and at night. Read More

politics as usual - 12/18/2009
The Mayor and Council of Cedar Grove, NJ seem to be unaware that they were voted into office by their constitutents, not by Joe Divicenzo, County Executive. Although it is true that most members of the O'toole family have jobs with the County,and one of the current members on the Council, the O'toole father, also had a job with the person pulling the County Executive's strings, .. Joe Divincenzo does not vote in Cedar Grove....and it appears that certain votes by this Mayor and Council are only to appease the County Executive and have nothing to do with what is right for the town..or what the residents of the town want. For example, is there indemnification from the County for the proposed slaughter of the deer? Did anyone on the Council think of this? If the Mayor and Council are so concerned with doing the right thing and properly representing their constitutents, and for which they are paid... why not hold a public vote and cancel the killing... that would be representing your Read More
