Karen's is an old review and is suspect to begin with. It implies that Freehold Borough is somehow less desirable than Freehold Township. Karen is speaking in vague generalities (she offers no facts to support her claims). She even attempts to turn Freehold's positives into weakenesses. It is, in fact, Freehold Borough's diversity and ethnic flavor that give the town a unique character all its own...and - this - in a very positive way.

You should know that there are two Freeholds in NJ: Freehold Boro and Freehold Township. The boro is much more urban with a very diverse population of people, a higher crime rate, lower per capita income, and lesser quality elementary schools. The township is more suburban, with a more homogeneous population, a lower crime rate, higher per capita income, and excellent elementary schools.
