Clean Air, blue skies, salt breezes - 11/22/2010
Long Beach Island is a wonderful place to live. The climate is relatively temperate. Snow only lasts a day or so when we have it at all. Sparsley populated in winter but still more personal friends available than the average city dweller has. City services are excellent and the taxes are relatively low because of the summer homeowners picking up most of the tax bill. Not being here year round they do not need all of the services, especially the high cost of educating all of their kids who whoop it up on the beaches in summer and leave in September. Read More

This is a really great place to live. You don't have to drive too far to reach the excitement of a big city (such as Atlantic City, Philadelphia, or New York). You are close to the bay and the ocean on this 18 mile island - Long Beach Island - NJ. It is safe to raise your family here (check out the crime rates - low).
