Do Not Move to Millville - 9/19/2016
Do Not move to Millville NJ. within last two weeks: In a realatively good neighborhood, we have had our house spray painted with obscenities, bricks thrown through windows, robbed of TV. Cars vandalized. Most houses in this neighborhood have been broken into at least one in last year.  Read More

Shouldn't they call this place KILL VILLE? WOW! - 5/19/2015
I lived in Millville back in the day for a couple years(1990's). I always had family who lived there. Millville use to be one of the nicest, cleanest, family oriented towns in Cumberland County. I would NEVER raise a family in Millville now. Every time you turn around someone has been shot, bank robbed, or home invasion. The city looks like a mini Camden. Trash everywhere, bums hanging around, hookers trolling at night. Everyone looks like drug induced zombies. What a waste of a nice city. I see that the city of Millville is trying to help the city by adding an arts district but it's not working. If your thinking of living here DON'T! Please don't! Even the "nice" areas of Millville are seeing their fair share of crimes. Nobody is safe in that city. GET OUT WHILE YOU Read More

Grew up here... wouldn't go back - 1/8/2015
I lived in Millville, NJ for 25 years. My whole family is from Millville. It's where my great-grandparents were married and it's where they died. My grandmother and aunt were raised there. When I was a kid it had that small town feel. Everyone knew everyone and it had a lot of small businesses. When I was in high school things were getting a little tougher. Center city was getting kinda sketchy but outside of that handful of "numbered" streets it was good. A family kind of place. Unfortunately it didn't get better. Only worse. They tried revitalizing with the "arts district" on High Street but it failed pretty miserably after a few short years. I moved out of Millville when I was 25 years old and now when I go back to visit my grandmother (who is 70 and refuses to move from her home because it's where she was raised) I am appalled by what it has become. Very few businesses have survived and even the outskirts aren't immune to the crime and decay that has become this city. The schools Read More

Moving to Millville - 10/17/2007
I recently moved to Millville, NJ. I purchased a brand new home. I grew up in the Cherry Hill area, then moved to FL, now back to NJ. My community consists of about 72 homes, costing between 240,000 to 320,000. Now that is purchase price on a 1/2 acre lot. Very nice. About half of the residents are some kind of law enforcement, there are department of correction officers, state troopers, local law enforcement office(Atlantic City, Vineland, Brigheton)as well as federal agents, so needless to say our community is very safe. Millville is a huge city so of course there are some bad area, but the city has a revitilazation program and so far so good. And for being so big you still have that small town feel, everyone knows everyone.
Well, I really like it here. The center of town is very cute, it has that New Hope feel, if you know what I mean. The 3rd Friday of every month every is open late and its like its one big party. People walking around, shopping and stopping for a drink at Read More
