Nice, quiet town - 7/20/2007
North Haledon is a small town. Pretty quiet and not a lot going on. The town is very safe, I have lived here all my life and I have never once been worried about something happening to me.

Housing is overpriced as is all north Jersey.

Good location. It is about a 1/2 hr from NYC. Plus, there are tons of malls and movie theaters and other things to do in the surrounding towns.

The elementary and middle schools are very good. However, the high school (Manchester Regional) consists of students from Haledon and Prospect Park and is a big change for students used to the North Haledon schools. Manchester is not a good high school and is continuing to go downhill. Many parents end up sending students to private schools, so this should be a consideration for parents with Read More
