Though this relatively small industrial town has significant "cons", an important "pro" is that the homes are priced significantly lower than comparable properties in the surrounding areas.

We bought our home in Paulsboro, NJ in 2002 because, at that time, the cost of homes in Philly PA had risen above our budget in those neighborhood in which we were interested in buying. Homes in Paulsboro tend to be older and priced considerably lower than the surrounding communities. However, property taxes here are ridiculously high as they are in all of NJ.
