Stillwater, NJ is a charming small town located in Sussex County. With its picturesque landscape and friendly community, it's the perfect place to call home. From outdoor activities like swimming and fishing at the nearby Paulinskill River to shopping and dining in downtown Stillwater, there are plenty of things to do. The town is also known for its historical sites such as the Rockaway Valley Railroad Bridge, which was built in 1875, and the Andover Forge Site, which dates back to 1790. People who live or visit here appreciate how well-maintained the town is while still maintaining its rural charm. Reviews of Stillwater from locals and visitors alike are overwhelmingly positive; they speak highly of its quiet atmosphere, friendly people, great restaurants, and beautiful views.

Best little piece of paradise! - 1/19/2008
Have lived in Stillwater, NJ for 11 years and it is a nature lover's paradise. Unfortunately, my husband passed away and I want to be closer to family in South Carolina, so am hoping to find a farm like I have in the Greenville outskirts. But anyone considering a move to NJ, don't think it is all like Newark Airport! It is gorgeous up here and my little farm is surrounded by 600 acres of preserved land with creeks, streams, and mountains.  Read More
