The American Dream is still alive in Hornell, NY - 9/14/2023
Hornell is a great place to live. Small for a city, but it has most of what you would need between local shops and big box stores. Amazing produce/farmers markets just outside of town. Anyone that wants can afford a home here and basically mansions are under 500k. Nestled in a beautiful valley, very close to a ton of public state forest land, plenty of deer to hunt, trails to hike, and roads to bike. Stoney Brook is just up the road, 86 allows you to easily get to Corning. You're basically halfway between NYC and Toronto. 6hrs to Boston or DC.

Just to the north is a Walmart and best of all, a Wegmans grocery store(possibly the best grocery chain in the US). Housing is very affordable, but if you want a new house plan on building it, as few are ever available for sale. Approved building lots are easily found. There is little violent or major crime, and no gang activity, just the usual petty crime you have anywhere. Many doors never get Read More
