The school budget is 108,000,000 for roughly 5250 students. cost per student is roughly 20,600 per student as of 2009-2010. The best local private school cost $7000 and has higher academic performance. The school district manipulates the election locations discriminating against seniors, inflates the budget to guaranty the contingency budget as mandated by the state, and routinely threatens all music and sports programs if their budgets demands aren't voted in. Just moved here a few months ago from Long Island. It's a beautiful area, gorgeous scenery, the people are friendly and the schools great! We did a lot of research before moving (including checking Sperlings Best Places) and everything we heard was correct. Even drivers are polite.
