We moved to Neversink 4 yrs ago...It's a good place to raise a family. Close to NYC, but a nice, pretty, family friendly town.
Tri-Valley is the best school district in Sullivan County. The district spends quite a lot of $ on each student. The school facility is lovely, and the classroom sizes are not too large. The school attracts the best teachers in the county. The elementary school offers great sports programs for the children including soccer, football, Little League, and basketball.
The town of Neversink has 2 pools open to town residents for a small fee. Free swim lessons in the summer for all children who are residents of the town. Also free tennis lessons for children in the summer months as well. The library's Giant Pumpkin Party in October is especially fun for the kids....but I have to admit that it's my favorite weekend of the year! All of my family from NJ and Conn. come for the festivities!

Free swim lessons in the summer for all children who are residents of the town. The library's Giant Pumpkin Party in October is especially fun for the kids....but I have to admit that it's my favorite weekend of the year! All of my family from NJ and Conn. come for the festivities!
The best seasons here are the summer and fall. Summer temps are perfect....homes don't need air conditioning in Sullivan County, which is why it's a popular retreat for NYC folks. The fall is absolutley beautiful...my favorite time of the year here...NY apples, crisp weather, the colorful mountain scenery, the beautiful Neversink reservoir. It doesn't get any better than autumn in Neversink.
