Belhaven, North Carolina is a small, historic town located along the Pamlico River. It is known for its water activities like fishing and boating, and many visitors come to take part in these activities. With its small-town charm, Belhaven also offers plenty of other attractions including galleries, unique restaurants, and historic sites. Visitors rave about the area’s peaceful atmosphere and great local food. In addition to all of these great options, Belhaven also offers a variety of interesting shops filled with unique items for sale. Although Belhaven isn’t home to any major attractions or events, there are still plenty of things to do and explore in this quaint little town. Visitors often leave with fond memories of their trip to Belhaven and return time and time again.

Belhaven is a quiet little town, located on the inner banks - perfect for retirees. Fishing is good and boating is even better. Sail boats and other types of boats are abundant. We've even had cruise liners pass through. We have one grocery store, 3 gas stations, and an Ace Hardware in addition to several small privately owned shops. The politics in Belhaven have been in discord for years, with town council meetings being a joke until recently. Utilities rates are high. To get to the nearest retail store, one must travel approximately 30 miles to Washington or 60+ miles to Greenville.
