North Carolina's great weather - 4/6/2011
For many reasons, North Carolina is a great place to call home!

The weather is tough to beat. We enjoy four seasons, Summer is a little hot for some but allows a long outdoor fun season.

A little to the West are the mountains - a good getaway in the heat of Summer or skiing in the Winter. A little to the East is the beach, with something to do all year.

And right here there is plenty to do with the state capitol, Raleigh just a few minutes away. Raleigh is home to several museums and the NC Symphony. Read More

Raleigh, NC is Overrated, and Generally Not a Frie - 10/14/2010
I cannot believe how "hyped up" the Raleighm NC area is. It is a strange combination of transplans from New York, New England and New Jersey mixed with local Raleigh North Carolinians. I am very disappointed at the lack of basic manners that people have here- it is generally not a friendly area - Raliegh AND the surrounding suburbs. Most people don't say hello to strangers, say please or thank you, hold doors, and they are very agressive drivers, in fact in my subdivision our so-called "neighbors" don't even speak to us! And I am not saying it is all becuase of the Northeast transplants.. it seems that the prevailing culture around Raleigh- North Carolinians included. I have lived in other states, and have to say the Raleigh, NC area is one of the least impressive area I've been to. And another strange thing is that WOMEN around Raleigh - for some strange reason - are not very friendly or polite. My wife even notices this! They come across as real snobs.
