Used to be a nice town - 9/6/2021
This used to be a quaint, quiet, sweet little town, but it has ballooned into a rich man's Mecca. Fist of all, it's a tiny town... so parking is at a premium and it gets VERY crowded on weekends and holidays. The townspeople are nice and try to maintain a decent relationship with the rich, demanding and entitled visitors, but that can be difficult at times. Step up to the high roller's club - 4/15/2007
A beautiful mountain resort area with cool summers, Highlands has become the mecca for Southern High Roller to "summer". Restaurants, country clubs, elite shops, and expensive trophy homes abound. For people of money, this is a great playground from May through October. For the rest of us, it's a very expensive place to live year round, and secluded from mainstream commodities and affordability. Tough winters with not enough summer Read More
