Economy is good --- but infrastructure still str - 6/3/2014
According to an article in the Dickinson newspaper, the oil boom is no longer a boom; it is an industry. Yes, the economy is good in western ND; however, the infrastructure (housing, roads, schools, law enforcement, social services, etc) is still struggling to keep up. The core population is made up of good, solid folks but they are being over-run by those who care only to chase a paycheck. As good as the money is, those of us who were here before the craziness started, are leaving --- with a heavy heart.
