Nice But Serious Risk - 1/11/2022
I've lived here almost eight years. The city itself is nice. It has a large liberal community with many upper class residents and quite a few million dollar homes. The Fourth of July parade is something to look forward to every year. Streets are cleared of snow long before Columbus plows ever touch the surrounding areas. The city itself feels like it is in a forest with so many large mature trees. It is beautiful, however I do not feel particularly safe. The surrounding neighborhoods are trash. Many vagrants flow into Bexley checking car doors, breaking into people's garages and even home breakins. I hear gunshots every single night from areas just a quarter mile away. On New Years Eve it felt like a major gunfight broke out nearby with people firing guns into the air all night. I get alerts every few months about sex offenders who have recently moved in. If you need to go shopping there is only on grocery store in Bexley which is a nice place but expensive. Everything

First,the info regarding voting is way off,Rep.vs.Dem.is aprox 40/60%. Also the religion numbers are way off primarily with the Jewish population aprox 30%.
As a lifelong resident of 50+ years,a degree in political science,and as an interest in politics,I have seen this city change from voting 60% Goldwater vs.45% statewide to 60% Kerry vs 49% statewide.The "Definition of Marriage" ammendment received 32% vs 63% statewide.
