AMAZING! - 9/20/2013
If you get a job in Cleveland, THIS IS THE PLACE TO LIVE! It has something for everybody. I was raised here and never knew anything else at this time. Once I went away to college, I missed it like crazy. I moved back immediately upon graduation, and I cannot believe how much better it has gotten. So much growth "downtown" in the Detroit Road/Warren Road area. Restaurants and bars are plentiful. 20-30 years olds are flocking here. It is absolutely perfect for young professionals, and it also has great living for people with families. The school system is phenomenal, the police force does an astounding job, and the lake is just gorgeous. I can't say enough good things. I may end up moving away soon for a out of state job, but I will be back, there is NO doubt about Read More

Can't Wait to Move Here - 8/26/2013
I haven't lived here, but have spent a lot of time in the area, and most certainly will move here when I finally can move back to the Cleveland area in a few years. I must say, this city is incredible. I have driven through just about all of the coastal neighborhoods in Lakewood, and the houses are all very beautiful and well-kept. This is a middle-class suburban neighborhood of Cleveland, and is very popular with young, well-educated professionals. There are lots of high-paying, white-collar jobs in the area. I've traveled all around America, and I can say without a doubt that the parks in and around Lakewood are some of the best in America. The city is so advanced. They even have a large amount of skyscrapers in the downtown and along the coast! Crime is virtually non-existent, as it is on the West side of Cleveland, and there is a very good police force. The area is an ethnic hotspot for immigration, so whoever you are, you won't feel left out. To top it all off, the Read More

Great access to jobs, transportation, recreation - 8/30/2012
Lakewood is a great "family" town, with excellent schools and a full range of services all within walking distance. Located on the shores of Lake Erie and bounded by Cleveland's beautiful "Emerald Necklace" of parks on the western border, residents have access to golfing, hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, cross country skiing and more, all within minutes. Also just 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland's amazing independent restaurants, active theater district and world class museums; and 15 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Read More

Living on the shores of Lake Erie... lots to do an - 4/4/2008
I have lived much of my life in various neighborhoods and suburbs of Cleveland, OH. Although this city has a whole sack-load of stigma attached to it, most everyone who take the time to visit is stunned at how good a place it is to live.

There are, in fact 4 seasons here - but the Autumn and the Summer are the deal makers here on the North Coast.

Summer is like a Festival-a-Day with tons of activity on the lakefront, on the water, in the city, in the massive green Metro-Park lands, and the ethnic / lifestyle neighborhoods. The weather is mild to very hot and humid - lots of beaches and green spaces to cool off. We could definitely use more waterfront development AND more restaurants with big patios ---but they are out there and they are busy and fun ! We also get very spectacular summer storms with beautiful lightning and dramatic skies. We might get a lot of rain, but the overall feel is a sun-drenched, almost tropical summer.

Autumn is THE Read More
