Great Place to Live and Raise a Family - 4/15/2009
Many nice neighborhoods in the Mansfield metro area. Very good schools available, not necessarily Mansfield City. Ohio State branch campus, Ashland University and North Central State College are right close by. Medical care is provided by some of the finest in the state. Recreation includes snow skiing, auto race tracks, lakes and state parks. Quality housing is readily available and quite affordable. Cultural attractions include Kingwood Center, Mansfield Art Center, Mansfield Playhouse, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, Carousel District, Oak Hill Cottage, and the restored to grandeur Renaissance Theater among many others. The big city attractions of Cleveland and Columbus are only about an hour away. Ontario is the shopping mecca of North Central Ohio. Employment possibilities are good if you have a desirable technical skill or a good education. The area is in transition from heavy industry to high tech and ??? Opportunities are available for those with positive attitude and education.
