Troy is an okay place to raise a family. Local police target young people. Local politics dominated by Republicans. Many jobs have left area. Many major employers/businesses have left. Hard to make a living in this town/area unless you are in government, a teacher or in healthcare.  Read More

Troy, Ohio is a small city about 20 miles north of Dayton, Ohio. I have lived in or near Troy all of my life. It is, for the most part, a quiet, relaxing place to live with a small town atmosphere. Despite such an atmospere, however, Troy also has movie theaters, department stores, a bike path, nature reserves, parks, a REC, and a cultural center.
