Great place except for traffic thirsty cops - 7/28/2022
I have lived in this area my whole life born and raised. It is a beautiful community with beautiful people inside and definitely out. The women are gorgeous and sophisticated sweet hearts and the men are solid personally and professional to a fault. Only one thing truly throws it off. The road pirates aka UA "police". Don't get me wrong the guys are nice enough and I personally support our police Columbus & UA unlike many these days. But I am just being 100 percent honest. I won't even drive into UA if I don't need too because they keep quite a few cops on the beat in a place with virtually no crime. So the cops are thirsty and literally prey on people day and night. Good policing requires traffic stops and I'm sure some Saturday evenings produce an omvi. I can't speak for the whole system or even the right or wrong of it. I just know that I don't risk it because they sit at the edge of their jurisdiction and pull people over for silly stuff. It's not worth it. My gf lived here and we

Upper Arlington is a nice community. I have lived here a great majority of my life. Gone for 4 years to college, and my husband I were gone for 20 in the military. Came back to retire. Some changes, not a lot. Lots of community activities, close to Columbus and those activities. Best medical care with The Ohio State University Hospital and Ohio Health. Fairly low cost of living. Hello! I am a resident of Upper Arlington,Ohio. We are located right outside of downtown Columbus and next to The Ohio State University campus.
I was born and raised in U.A., but moved away for business and lived in Boston for nearly 20 years. I came back four years ago and feel so fortunate that both of my children are graduating from the Upper Arlington High School. The school has long-boasted it's high test scores and stellar reputation amongst college admissions departments across the country.
It also offers the students a wide array of sports, Arts and recreational opportunities to pursue.These are made possible by a community that realizes the importance of supporting the school system and never fails to do-so.

Very LOW crime - 3/17/2010
The crime statistics on this suburb are wrong. There is very little crime in Upper Arlington. I have lived here my whole life and I have never been afraid to leave my door unlocked. I don't know where they got their statistics.

Upper Arlington is a unique community that generations have called home. I left in 1977 looking for adventure and returned in 2005 with my husband and three children.
