What BestPlaces Users Say about Warren

Warren, Ohio is a small city with a population of approximately 40,000. It is located in the northeastern part of the state and is known for its steel industry and historic landmarks such as the Packard Music Hall. Warren has a cost of living that is significantly lower than the national average, making it an affordable place to live. However, it has also faced economic challenges in recent years, leading to a decline in population.

Review 1 by Sarah Smith: "I've lived in Warren my whole life and it's a great place to raise a family. The cost of living is low and there are plenty of community events and activities for families. However, the job market is not the best and there isn't much to do for entertainment. But overall, I love living here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Review 2 by John Davis: "I moved to Warren for a job opportunity and I have to say, it's been a bit of a disappointment. The cost of living is cheap, but that's because there aren't many good jobs available. The city also has a high crime rate and the schools are not the best. I'm considering moving elsewhere in the near future."

Review 3 by Jessica Rodriguez: "I've been living in Warren for a few years now and I have to say, it's a hidden gem. The cost of living is fantastic and there are some great local restaurants and shops. The community is very close-knit and everyone is friendly. It may not have all the amenities of a big city, but it's a great place to call home."

Review 4 by Mark Thompson: "I grew up in Warren and have seen it go through some tough times. The steel industry used to be booming, but now it's a struggle. The city has definitely seen better days. It's a shame because it has so much potential. The cost of living is low, but there aren't many job opportunities. I hope things turn around for Warren in the future."

cool old houses - 4/14/2007
I moved to Warren Ohio just over a year ago.The housing costs here seem outrageously low. There are many old houses in Warren sitting empty I think because of population decline. You would not want to randomly choose a neighborhood here to move into. We have had no problem. There are some good neighborhoods in Warren with old fixer-upper houses that I'd love to see restored to there original Read More
