Don't fall for the lies that it's a good place to - 6/12/2021
I lived in Colcord for 17 years. It is the worst place I have ever lived. Theft is rampant and thieves are rarely punished. It is trashy in many areas, and people don't seem to care. The sheriff's department has to drive many miles as they travel all of Delaware County, so if something happens, it will probably take a long time for them to get to your place. My house was broken into and things stolen that Cost me a lot of money. I know who did it, but it was never taken care of by the sheriff's office. My storage bldgs. Were broken into, and again, nothing was done. I had 2 shop bldgs., and yep, again they were broken into...
I am grateful to be out of there! Drugs are also a big thing in that area. My advice? Don't fall for lower housing costs. What you will pay for items that get stolen will make up for it. The schools seem great because they are small. Again, don't think it will be great. I removed my child after two years and enrolled him in a private school in Arkansas. Read More
