Where I would preferr to live - 12/29/2006
While I do not live in Madras, Oregon it would be the one place that I would preferr to live. I visited my brother, who lives there, about two years ago. I expected to see nothing but sand and cactus but found the local scenery quite beautiful. The landscape near town is covered with bushes and smaller trees and appears to stay fairly green most of the year. I find it quite beautiful with the Cascade mountain range in the background. It seems like you can almost reach out and touch them.The people that I met there were friendly and there seemed to be a plentiful job market and it appeared to be a thriving farming community.I live in Tennessee where my wife was born and raised, therefore we live in Tennessee but, if I could get her to move, I would not hesitate to pull up stakes and move to Madras. As stated I live in Tennessee and have lived here most of my adult life. At present I live in Woodbury Tennessee, a small town of about 5000 population. It has some of the most beautiful
