What BestPlaces Users Say about Newberg

As a small city in Oregon's fertile Willamette Valley, Newberg offers a charming community with plenty of outdoor activities, local businesses, and a thriving wine industry. However, with a population of just over 24,000, some may wonder if it's the right place to call home. To gain a better understanding of living in Newberg, we will take a look at a few user reviews from BestPlaces.net to get a sense of what current residents have to say about their experience in this particular place.

According to user "Abigail" on BestPlaces.net, she has been living in Newberg for 5 years and says, "I absolutely love the small-town feel of this city. The people are friendly, there are great parks and community events, and it's just a short drive to the coast or the mountains." Similarly, "Jesse" has been living in Newberg for 10 years and says, "I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. The cost of living is reasonable, the schools are great, and there's always something fun to do in town."

On the other hand, "Bryan" has a different perspective on living in Newberg. He writes, "I've lived here my whole life and while it's a nice place, it can feel a bit isolated at times. There's not a lot of job opportunities and the nightlife is pretty nonexistent." Another user, "Samantha," echoes this sentiment, saying, "The lack of diversity in Newberg can feel suffocating. It's a great place to raise a family, but for young adults, it can be a bit boring."

Overall, it seems that the majority of users are satisfied with living in Newberg. Its small-town charm, community events, and proximity to nature are major draws for residents. However, some do mention the limited job opportunities and lack of diversity as potential downsides. Ultimately, it's important for individuals to visit and experience Newberg for themselves to determine if it's the right fit for their lifestyle.

Lives up to it's motto: a great place to grow! - 8/4/2018
Newberg is an amazing small town! We've been here for 18 years, and we love it so much. There is a booming wind industry, with wineries and beautiful vineyards all around. It's green, the climate is moderate, the crime rate is low. It's a college town, and the students bring so much! The downtown is amazing, and there is always something wonderful to do: local concerts, farmer's market, art walk, etc. It's very family friendly, and as they say: "A great place to grow"! And it IS growing! There are major new developments happening in the next few years, with parks and walking paths. It does lack some diversity however, and the high school has some issues. But other than that, it is a great place for everyone. (and only a quick hour+ drive to the beach, 2 hours to the mountain, and 45 minutes from Portland). Read More
