Quality of Life in Indiana, Pennsylvania - 9/28/2012
Don't waste your time living here. I've been here 20 years and I couldn't feel MORE SUFFOCATED. The culture is non existent. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing to do here except watch the grass grow. The people are a bunch of rednecks with no intelligence. I like living where people are open minded. If that's what you're looking for don't come here. There's only one way to do anything and they won't open their mind to change. I'm only here because of my kids. When they leave after college, I'M OUT OF Read More

At most a 'stop gap' location at best - 12/31/2006
I'm coming up on 10 yrs living in the area (still can't believe it); my take on this strictly come alive with college in session die without town is that the cost of living is a bargain compared to anywhere west-ward, however with that the wage in the area is significant below average for this region. I don't see much job growth here you pretty much have to know someone to get a descent job; otherwise it's tight here unless you enjoy working in the financial, educational, and medical areas that is pretty much it here. It's an OK place to gain some experience if nothing better is out there but I wouldn't recommend living here for life; there are better opportunities out there. 'Traffic' is a non-factor except when college is back in town. Once I find a better job opportunity I am leaving it's just not worth it and if you're single forget about it unless you're attending IUP you might find Read More
