Friendly, low crime, NICE - 7/14/2007
Somerset is a small town with very friendly neighbors. People wave and greet each other whih a smile when they pass by. You are safe to go for a walk at night, and your kids are safe playing in your yard. Neighbors tend to look out for one another. Weather is nice, we have 4 seasons. We get a few cold and snowy in the winters months, summer can get just a little to warm but not too many days to bother with. Schools are decent, friendly, and safe. I would say the bigger problems around here are drugs, and drinking. This is because its a quiet town, not much to do here. Theres basically one store to shop at (walmart), if they don't have it, we can travel 30 minutes to Johnstown. They have a variety of stores there. Somehow we did manage to get 3 Mcdonalds, 3 sheetz stores, and one of every other type fast food/restaurants. We don't have public transportation but the streets are not crowded. Great place to live if you want to be laid back and take things Read More
